Tough duty in Maple Valley

We have had an excellent visit with Tina and family. It is pretty hard duty to be with the twins but, someone has to have the privilege! The weather has been typical with rain and clouds. We will take off for Cannon Beach on Sunday.

Our travels

begin on January 8, 2009. We have had record amounts of snow this year. In fact, we have had over five feet in the yard at one time. The weather has turned warmer and we have had a week of 40 degree days with some wind. So, we were able to get the drive and front walk plowed and clear. Can not say the same for the yard. In fact, the back part of our rear yard still has about five feet of the pretty white stuff. Have used the John Deere more this winter than I have in the past five years. The electric starter stopped working while Lloyd was visiting. However, the motor starts up with one pull and it really throws the snow! We were concerned about the trip across the mountains but it was bare and wet over the mountains. A real pain as you have to use the windshiled washer so much. I have a lot of blue color on the side of the car. Anyway, we are in Maple Valey visiting the Bondy's and having a lot of fun with our granddaughters. Our next stop will be on January 18th at Cannon Beach Oregon.
